This exciting journey will lead you towards Dubrovnik and its fortified Old Town which is, without doubt, one of the most visited and photographed destinations in all Europe. You will start your tour in a very comfortable air-conditioned bus, so just sit back, relax and enjoy the view at the breathtaking Mediterranean scenery. Based on the previous agreement with the driver you can stop to stretch your legs and take some fantastic photos.
After arriving in Dubrovnik, one of the most outstanding tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, you will meet your local guide and start an hour and a half long walking tour through the narrow streets of the historic core of Dubrovnik. Explore this amazing UNESCO World Heritage site and learn everything about its history and monuments. Dubrovnik is famous for its wonderful Renaissance and Baroque architecture, red brick roofs and its two kilometres long walls that have successfully resisted attacks of different enemies through the centuries. Explore the Old Town’s central street Stradun, the Franciscan Monastery (with one of the oldest pharmacies in the world), the renaissance Rector’s Palace, the town walls, the Lovrjenac Fortress and many picturesque squares and churches.
After the walking tour with the professional local guide, you will have enough time to continue exploring Dubrovnik on your own. Make the most of your free time and stop by one of the local restaurants to taste some delicious traditional food. It’s not a bad idea to take a ride on the cable car to the top of the Srd Mountain and enjoy the breathtaking view at Dubrovnik and its surroundings. You can also go to the local beach and take a quick swim or buy tickets for the Walls and take a look at the city from a completely different angle
Since you have approximately two and a half hours of free time, be sure to plan your activities before the trip since it is impossible to do all listed above. After this perfectly well-spent day in Dubrovnik, you will get back on the bus and start your journey back to Split. You will be dropped off at the same point where you were picked up.

We had an excellent time in Croatia. Thank you to Ante for organizing our trip. Each guide was very kind to us and had a lot of information to give. It was wonderful to see this country and learns it’s history. I would recommend Private Guides to anyone that wants a personal touch and an educated tour. It was worry free and made our vacation that much better!
