Canyon of Cetina river, Dalmatian hinterland

Dalmatian region is a perfect combination of sea, mountains and Roman architecture. There are many small villages, astonishing fisherman’s ports and hinterland’s gems. This blog is way to short to tell you everything about Dalmatian’s hinterland, therefore we will abstract two or three must-see destinations, that can be one perfect day for itself. Or, maybe four.

Visiting National Park is always a great decision when in a destination. Luckily, there are two National Parks you can visit in one day from Split – Krka Waterfalls and Plitvice Lakes National Park.

Each demands a full day so keep in mind you need at least two days for this – one day per each Park.

Krka Waterfalls Tour is shorter than Plitvice Lakes Tour, not only because it’s closer to Split, but because it is smaller than Plitvice.

National park Plitvice lakes is the oldest Croatian National Park with UNESCO World Heritage status. It is pure magic. If you love untouched nature, in winter or summer, don’t hesitate to book this Tour.

Numerous lakes, gravel paths, wooden bridges and waterfalls in untouched nature will relax you and regain inner peace and joy.there are plenty of tours on the spot if you like to discover more of the Lika region – Squad Tour, Kayaking, Horseback riding.

Krka River and its beautiful waterfalls offer a great day off from the city crowd. It also will give you a shelter to enjoy a peaceful walk under the waterfalls and feel the power of the insatiable water. This is a good tour for families with kids, pats. Finally, there is a lovely little town Skradin, where you can taste true Dalmatian meals and of course those exquisite wines that all world is talking about. Cheers!

Skradinski Buk – the most popular and biggest waterfall

In the end, there is a one day Tour to Dubrovnik and Mostar ( Bosnia and Hercegovina) on which you will taste traditional foods like “burek“ or “baklava“ and jump into the Kravica Waterfall.
